Our quality standards
Every Container Koala order gets the same checks, from the container you picked to the spot it lands on. Here is what we check, and what is decided at inspection or on the day.
One team, start to finish
You deal with Container Koala from the first question to delivery day: your quote, the order, the delivery date and anything after. Your container ships from the nearest yard to you, and we deliver it by tilt-bed truck or by flatbed. How each one works.
Insured and bonded, before the first job
Everyone who handles your container, from the yard it ships from to the driver who sets it down, is vetted, insured and bonded. Before they take jobs with us, they must show us a current certificate of insurance and a bond. Anyone who can't show both doesn't handle our orders.
What we check for every order
- The container you asked for. We check your size, grade and door setup against our stock near you. If it isn't available, we tell you and suggest the closest alternative before anything is ordered.
- Photos of the actual unit when we can. For many containers we can photograph the unit you'll receive; some are sold by grade and picked at loading time. We tell you which applies to your quote.
- Your site. Before we quote, we ask about access, gates, ground and overhead room, so the delivery method fits your spot.
- The right delivery method. tilt-bed delivery or flatbed delivery. A tilt-bed sets the container on the ground; a flatbed needs your own forklift or crane on site to unload it.
- Paperwork, if you plan to ship it. A container used for international shipping needs a valid safety approval (CSC) plate. If you plan to ship yours, tell us and we check what paperwork comes with it.
- One price in writing. The container, the grade, the delivered price, what is included and the delivery terms, before you approve anything.
What is decided at inspection or on the day
- Grades are industry terms. One-trip, cargo-worthy and wind-and-watertight are judged at inspection or by a container surveyor, not a government rating. What each grade means.
- The driver decides what is safe on the day. If a placement would be unsafe or could cause damage, the driver can decline it, and we work out an alternative with you.
If something isn't right
Check the container when it arrives: walk around it, work the doors, do the daylight test and check the floor. If it doesn't match what you were quoted, tell us right away through our contact page and we repair it, replace it or refund you. See our ordering and delivery policies for the rest.
