Ask us: availability varies
10ft shipping containers
Small, handy and harder to find. Availability depends on what depots near you have, so we check before we quote.
Ten footers are not a standard shipping size, so many are built new for storage or cut down from a longer box. That makes supply patchy and prices less predictable than 20s and 40s.
If a 10 is what fits, tell us and we will check what depots near you actually have. If none are available, we will say so and suggest the closest alternative.

Delivery space
Needs less run than a 20, but the truck itself still needs a straight approach. Tell us about your site and we will check. The truck also needs room overhead and firm, level ground. How tilt-bed delivery works.
Pick a grade
Every size comes in three grades. The grade decides how it looks and how much life it has left; all three lock and keep the weather out.
- New / one-trip: Built new, shipped loaded once, then retired. As close to new as containers get.
- Cargo-worthy (used): Used, but structurally sound enough to be judged fit to carry cargo when it was inspected.
- Wind and watertight (used): The budget grade. Retired from shipping, cosmetically worn, but keeps wind and water out.

Questions people ask
What are the dimensions of a 10ft container?
Outside: 10' L x 8' W x 8'6" H. Inside: about 9'3" x 7'8" x 7'10". Door opening: about 7'8" W x 7'5" H. Floor area about 70 sq ft, volume about 560 cu ft. Exact figures vary slightly by manufacturer.
How much does a 10ft container weigh?
Empty, about 2,500 to 3,000 lb. That is why delivery needs firm ground: the truck plus the container is heavy.
How much room do I need for delivery?
Needs less run than a 20, but the truck itself still needs a straight approach. Tell us about your site and we will check. You also need room overhead with no low wires or branches, and firm, level ground at the drop spot.
How much does a 10ft container cost?
It varies more than other sizes because supply is patchy. Ask for a quote and we will check what depots near you have and what it costs delivered. If a 20ft turns out to be cheaper or easier to get, we will tell you.
