Buying a container in the Mountain View area
If you are planning a remodel or a construction job in Mountain View, a shipping container can give you a lockable place for tools and materials at the work site. Jobsite storage is a common container use in this region. Mountain View has about 6,800 residents per square mile of land, with a mix of denser and more spread-out neighborhoods. That means the room for a container and the delivery path can vary by address. Container Koala sells and rents containers and books tilt-bed or flatbed delivery.
Our containers come in 20ft, 40ft and 40ft high cube sizes, new (one-trip) or used. When you ask for a price, we match the size and grade you want to the yard closest to your ZIP code, so your container travels the shortest distance, and send you one delivered price. You deal with one person from quote to drop-off.
Tilt-bed or flatbed delivery
Most people choose tilt-bed delivery: the truck tilts its bed and slides the container straight onto your pad, so you need no equipment. If you have a forklift or crane on site, we can send the container on a flatbed instead and you unload it. How delivery works.
Buying or renting a shipping container in Mountain View
Send your ZIP code and what you need. A real person checks what is available for that ZIP, books tilt-bed or flatbed delivery and sends one delivered price. You deal with one person from quote to drop-off. You can buy or request a quote when you are ready.
What a container does for Mountain View properties
Common container uses in this region include jobsite storage for remodels and construction, business and inventory storage, and home storage during a move or renovation. A jobsite container keeps tools and materials in one place. For business and inventory storage, or for home storage during a move or renovation, a container gives you a dry place to keep items.
Think about how you will load and unload the container, and whether you need to reach items along the sides or at the back. Match the size and door plan to the way you will use it. You can review container uses and door options before you choose.

Local conditions to plan for
Dry seasons, coast and fire
Dry summers are easy on stored things. Near the coast, salty air speeds up rust, so touch up scratches. In fire-prone areas, keep brush cleared around any structure.
Placement rules
Rules for containers on private property are set by your city or county, and sometimes your HOA or deed restrictions. Some places treat a container like a shed; others have rules on size, placement, screening or how long it can stay. Check with your local planning or zoning office before delivery. See container rules in California for what we found on official state sites.

Is a 10ft container available in Mountain View?
Availability of the 10ft container varies by area, so ask us with your ZIP code. The 10ft unit is good for tight spaces, and the 20ft, 40ft and 40ft high cube are the standard sizes.
How should I prepare the ground before delivery in Mountain View?
Choose firm, level ground and clear the delivery path. For a tilt-bed, you need a long, straight, clear approach with no low wires or branches. For a flatbed, you need room for the trailer and for a forklift or crane to lift the container off. Read site prep for a checklist you can use at your address.
What is the difference between a 20ft and a 40ft container?
A 20ft container measures 20' L x 8' W x 8'6" H outside and is good for home and farm storage and small jobsites. A 40ft container measures 40' L x 8' W x 8'6" H outside and is good for bulk storage, equipment and larger jobsites. The 40ft gives you more length for the same width and height.
